Vinny Hurrell and Cate Conway will host a new mid-morning programme and Connor Phillips will present an extended programme in the afternoons
The BBC has announced a new daytime schedule for BBC Radio Ulster starting in January 2025, aiming to refresh its programming to better connect with audiences across Northern Ireland. Key changes include the introduction of "The Stephen Clements Show" from 10:30am to 12:00pm, replacing "The Lynette Fay Show," which will conclude in December 2024. "The John Toal Show" will now air from 9:00am to 10:30am, and "The Connor Phillips Show" will move to an earlier slot from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Additionally, "The Vinny Hurrell Show" will extend its duration, broadcasting from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. The schedule also introduces new segments like "Your Place and Mine" with Anne Marie McAleese on Sundays, focusing on local stories and community engagement. This overhaul reflects BBC Radio Ulster's commitment to evolving its content to meet listener expectations and enhance its role as a community hub.
