Akela Pharma announces director resignation

AUSTIN, TX, Oct. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - Akela Pharma, Inc., (TSX: AKL) a leader in the development of therapeutics for the treatment of pain, and the company's wholly owned subsidiary, PharmaForm, today announced the resignation of Raj Maheshwari from his position as a non-executive director of the company. Mr. Maheshwari served on Akela Pharma's board since June 2008. There are no current plans to replace this position, and the current five members will continue to carry out the duties of the board.
