INDIANAPOLIS--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--WellPoint (NYSE:WLP) announced today that V. Rajamannar (Raja)Madabhushi will join the Company as Executive Vice President of its Senior business and Chief Transformation Officer. In this new role, Rajamannar will be responsible for WellPointas Senior and International businesses, Marketing and Product Innovation, and the companyas HealthyCare Solutions and Corporate Development functions.

Prior to joining WellPoint, Rajamannar served as senior vice president and chief innovation and marketing officer at Humana, responsible for leading their innovation center as well as marketing, data analytics and Humanaas international business. He also spent 15 years in senior-level business management and marketing roles at Citigroup, including chief marketing officer of Citias Global Cards and Payments division, and executive vice president of Citi Cards North America, where he had P/L responsibility for key businesses, including managing a diverse and complex set of consumer products with $70 billion in receivables across the United States. Raja also served as chairman and chief executive officer of Diners Club, North America.
