State of Ohio Selects Healthways to Provide Comprehensive Population Health Management Program

COLUMBUS, Ohio & NASHVILLE, Tenn.--([ ])--The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) and Healthways (NASDAQ: HWAY) announced today that they have entered into a three-year agreement to transfer the management of the State of Ohioas Take Charge! Live Well! population health management program to Healthways.

Under the terms of the agreement, Healthways will assume responsibility for implementing an integrated set of services collectively known as Healthways Well-Being Improvement Solution. These services include Healthways Well-Being Assessmentsa", the Well-Being Connecta" web-based personal behavior change application, wellbeingGOa" mobile application, biometric screenings, onsite program management, health risk coaching, disease management, hospital discharge program, incentive management, wellness competitions and challenges, and access to a nurse line/decision support system.

The program is designed to actively engage more than 48,000 state employees and their more than 72,000 spouses and dependent family members in fulfilling the stateas Population Health Management mission statement: aTo create an environment that empowers State of Ohio employees and their families to maintain optimal health, wellness, and productivity by taking responsibility for their own health and use of the health care system.a
