UnitedHealthcare Creates 169 Customer Care Jobs in Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis.--([ ])--UnitedHealthcare, the nationas leading health benefits company and part of UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH), today announced it is creating 169 new jobs at the companyas Green Bay facility, expanding its already significant presence in Wisconsin.

The new jobs include 135 customer care professionals who assist and educate individual consumers in plan selection and enrollment, ways to manage their health and well-being, and maximize health plan benefits and personal health care dollars. Other positions include customer service representatives for members with Medicare benefits. The hiring marks a 32 percent expansion of the Green Bay customer services operation, which handled 3.2 million inquiries from members across the United States last year.

Stephen J. Hemsley, CEO of UnitedHealth Group, made the announcement today at the companyas facility at 3100 AMS Blvd. in Green Bay, joined by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and U.S. Rep. Reid Ribble.

Currently, UnitedHealth Group employs more than 7,100 Wisconsinites and serves more than 1.5 million people in the state. Nearly 2,000 of these employees are based in Green Bay, the largest of UnitedHealth Groupas 12 locations in Wisconsin.
