This information was reportedly used to benefit Ko Cheng-heng's business interests. The indictment also involves allegations of Ko Wen-je's involvement in a separate case concerning the misuse of public funds for a trip to Japan. These legal challenges come at a time when Ko has been attempting to position himself as a reformer in Taiwanese politics, aiming to combat corruption and improve governance.
