Henry Davis, who was the first overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft, had a brief stint with the Pirates, playing in 62 games with a .213 batting average. Hunter Stratton, who has been performing well in Triple-A with a 3.99 ERA, was called up to bolster the bullpen. Meanwhile, Joshua Palacios, who had a .238 batting average in 25 games with the Pirates, was removed from the 40-man roster.
