  APLA Health's state-of-the-art health center, named in Dr. Gottlieb's honor, is the nonprofit's eighth facility in Los Angeles County and the latest advancement in its mission to expand inclusive, accessible care.

APLA Health has opened the Michael Gottlieb Center for Medical Services in West Hollywood, named after Dr. Michael Gottlieb who first identified AIDS in 1981. The new facility, located at 8717 Santa Monica Boulevard, spans 20,000 square feet and offers comprehensive medical care including primary care, dental, and behavioral health services. The center aims to serve the diverse needs of the community, particularly focusing on the LGBTQ+ population, and is part of APLA Health's ongoing efforts to expand access to quality healthcare. The opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local dignitaries and community members, highlighting the significance of this new resource in the fight against health disparities.
