





















Health Net Federal Services Re-Awarded Department of Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic Contract in Alamogordo,

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--[ Health Net Federal Services ], LLC, part of the Government Contracts segment of [ Health Net, Inc. ] (NYSE:HNT), today announced it was re-awarded a contract by the New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVHCS) to provide primary and preventive health care services to an estimated 1,200 enrolled Veterans in the VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located in Alamogordo, N.M. The new contract became effective Dec. 23, 2010, with a one-year initial term and four additional one-year option periods.

As we move forward, we will be offering expanded services that meet the unique needs of Veterans enrolled in the clinic.a
To better serve Veterans in Alamogordo, the clinic will move to a new, state-of-the-art facility that will be nearly three times as large as the former location. The new clinic will provide a licensed clinical social worker, available for appointments five days a week, and telemental health and telehealth programs. The clinic will serve Veterans only and will be conveniently located in the White Sands Mall, at 3199 N. White Sands Blvd., Suite D10, Alamogordo, N.M. The new facility is anticipated to open in the spring of 2011.
Services provided at the current location, including preventive care, health screenings, immunizations, diagnosis and treatment, appropriate specialist referral and follow-up, mental health counseling, and diabetes and weight management programs, will be available at the new clinic. These services will support VAa™s mission to expand access to mental health services for Veterans in rural areas of the country.
In partnership with Three Wire Systems, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Health Net supports the VetAdvisor® Support Program in VISN 12, the Great Lakes Health Care System. This program assists Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom Veterans in their reintegration to civilian life through mental health outreach and health coaching services.
