NEW ORLEANS--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--More than 70 UnitedHealthcare employees today are volunteering for Kingsley House during the opening day of AARPas 2012 Life@50+ National Event & Expo in New Orleans.

UnitedHealthcare volunteers will assist teachers in the Kingsley Houseas preschool, helping children with reading and games. Other volunteers will support the Adult Day Healthcare and Senior Center, working with adults on activities like arts and crafts.
The volunteer event at Kingsley House is part of AARPas New Orleans Reimagined, a program aimed at helping the city rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. Since the city was devastated seven years ago, forcing the cancellation of AARPas 2005 national event, AARP members have pitched in to help the city recover. Now thousands are arriving from all over the country for this yearas expo. Kingsley House, a United Way community impact partner, has served the children and families of New Orleans for 116 years.
The event, one of 12 distinct volunteer activities being organized as part of New Orleans Reimagined, begins today, 8 a.m., at 1600 Constance St.
