The NAACP has announced that Dave Chappelle and the Wayans family will be honored at the 56th NAACP Image Awards for their contributions to entertainment. Chappelle will receive the Vanguard Award for his groundbreaking work in comedy, while the Wayans family, including Keenen Ivory, Shawn, Marlon, Damon, Kim, and Nadia Wayans, will be awarded the Hall of Fame Award for their significant impact on film, television, and comedy. The awards ceremony, celebrating achievements in film, TV, music, and literature, will take place on March 16, 2025, and will be broadcast live on BET and CBS.
