AgeWell Services, a nonprofit organization in Muskegon, Michigan, is adapting to the closure of its wellness center and cafe due to financial challenges. Despite these closures, AgeWell remains committed to its mission of supporting seniors. The organization is focusing on enhancing its Meals on Wheels program, which delivers meals to homebound seniors, and is also expanding its in-home care services. Additionally, AgeWell is exploring new partnerships and funding opportunities to continue providing essential services like transportation, nutrition, and social activities for the elderly in the community. The closure has led to staff layoffs, but the organization is determined to find new ways to serve its clients effectively.
