Function Health on Monday announced it has acquired the full-body MRI scanning company Ezra
Function Health, a health technology company, has acquired Ezra, a medical imaging AI startup, and launched a new full-body MRI scan service priced at $2,500, significantly lower than the typical $7,000 cost. This service, named the Function MRI, aims to make advanced medical imaging more accessible and affordable, offering a comprehensive scan that can detect early signs of cancer, liver disease, and other conditions. The scan, which takes about an hour, is available in New York, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay Area, with plans to expand to other cities. Function Health's CEO, Mike Jafar, emphasized the company's mission to democratize healthcare and provide tools for proactive health management.
