OREM, UT--(Marketwire - August 4, 2009) - A five-year U.S. Army contract totaling over $300,000 was awarded to Reflect Scientific, Inc. (OTCBB: [ RSCF ]) for their ultra-low temperature freezer technology.

"The proven, new technology behind our T-150 freezer gives end-users as much as a 90% energy savings. It actually pays for itself in less than a year," maintained Kim Boyce, President and CEO of Reflect Scientific.

"The great news is, this new contract is unrelated to the $900,000 contract we received two weeks ago from a separate arm of the government. It's a five-year commitment with the U.S. Army. They are really happy with the T-150 freezer technology," Boyce continued.

"This new contract is further confirmation of just how satisfied the government and our other customers are with our breakthrough technology. And with over 500,000 freezers worldwide there is some real potential for our company to grow exponentially," Boyce maintained.

"The Ultra Low Temperature model T-150 is an all-in-one cryogenic freezing system. It is the first liquid nitrogen based, programmable cryogenic freezing system in a standard upright format," remarked Dr. Boyd Bowdish, Principal Scientist for Reflect Scientific.

"It allows for exceptional reliability, precise thermal uniformity, and no user or product exposure to liquid nitrogen. The freezer is ideal for bio-repositories, research, forensic, hospital and clinical laboratories, and other life science applications where refrigeration and cryogenic preservation is required," Bowdish concluded.
