NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - August 5, 2009) - IDO Security, Inc. (OTCBB: [ IDOI ]) ([ www.idosecurityinc.com ]), developer of the innovative MagShoe™ "shoes-on" weapons metal detection system, today announced an initial order for MagShoe units from its distributor in Berlin. The devices will be used to help IDO Security's German customers enhance security measures and ensure top-notch safety throughout high-profile locations around Germany. The MagShoe is a patented, convenient step-in device that extends security screening and metal detection to include the ankles and feet, without requiring shoe removal.

Today's security screening solutions are missing a critical step when it comes to weapons detection and loss prevention. Traditional metal detectors and security screening devices stop short of detecting metals in shoes. MagShoe instantly and accurately works in less than two seconds to detect metal items concealed in footwear and the lower extremities, without requiring subjects to remove their shoes -- ensuring immediate detection and response, while reducing delays and confusion.

Already in use in numerous European countries such as Spain, Italy and Poland, the MagShoe device is gaining significant momentum and garnering positive reviews across the continent. Major airports, government agencies and federal buildings, financial institutions, highly-trafficked ports, sports arenas and similar venues are capitalizing on the device's comprehensive screening capabilities, portability and user-friendly interface. The shipment of units to Germany supports a noticeable trend that security screening at high-risk locales must account for every inch.

"We have had a strategic focus on developing our trusted global network of distributors, partnering with industry leaders to bring the MagShoe to every corner of the world. We are thrilled to expand our presence in Germany, and in Europe as a whole," said Dan Werber, International Marketing Manager of IDO Security. "We believe the MagShoe is a screening device that is vital in every high-security environment. We are committed to building a highly qualified support system, from manufacturing and sales to distribution and service, that can best position the device in the marketplace."
