The 125,000-square-foot facility, situated at 3804 S Pine St., presents a versatile solution for TPS. While currently a warehouse, the district envisions a potential conversion into a school, vocational training center, administrative offices, or a combination thereof, depending on future needs assessments. However, the substantial price tag has sparked debate within the Tacoma community. Tacoma City Councilman Connor Pugh expressed the need for greater community engagement, stating, "We want to understand the rationale behind this expenditure and why it was pursued without broader community consultation.
