May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Taking care of your mental health can mean many different things, and not every person needs the same resources.

The Metro Public Health Department in Nashville is actively promoting free mental health resources to the community, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being. They are highlighting services such as the Tennessee Redline, a 24/7 helpline for substance abuse and mental health issues, and the Mental Health Cooperative, which offers free assessments and connects individuals to necessary care. Additionally, the department is focusing on reducing the stigma around mental health and encouraging people to seek help when needed, especially in light of increased mental health challenges due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
