HORSHAM, Pa.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--National Health Partners, Inc. (National Health) (OTCBB: NHPR), a leading provider of unique discount healthcare membership programs, announced today that it will begin generating positive cash flows from operations during March 2009 as a result of the success it is experiencing from sales of its CARExpress programs to affinity groups. The company stated that Q2 2009 will be the first full quarter during which the company will generate positive cash flows from operations, and that the company expects to generate between $1M and $2M in positive cash flows during the remainder of 2009.

The company's business has improved greatly in recent months notwithstanding the deplorable state of the U.S. economy, with sales to new members increasing by over 100% per month during the last 4 months of 2008. The company has benefited from organizations shifting away from more expensive, comprehensive health insurance programs to the company's CARExpress membership programs. This shift has resulted in the company generating increased sales of both its CARExpress health discount programs and its CARExpress Plus membership programs.

"We have been actively seeking opportunities to create new revenue streams for National Health Partners while maximizing our cash flows," stated David M. Daniels, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Health Partners. "Through our direct sales force and our various marketing efforts, we have very quickly gained traction with a large number of affinity groups that are extremely excited about our CARExpress membership programs. These groups are producing a large number of members for us with high retention rates at a significantly lower cost. These sales, coupled with a variety of cost-cutting measures that we implemented over the past few months, are the reason we will be cash flow positive starting in March 2009."

"We have recently entered into agreements with several business groups, associations, chambers of commerce and unions that will be making its membership programs available to thousands of uninsured and underinsured people," continued Mr. Daniels. "We expect to make announcements regarding these new business affiliations in the coming weeks once they begin generating new members for us."
