FORTIS: Fortis Annual Report 2008

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM--(Marketwire - April 9, 2009) - Fortis has today published the electronic version of its Annual Report 2008. The PDF version is available on [ www.fortis.com ].

The Annual Report will be available in print as from 14 April 2009. Copies can be requested via [ www.fortis.com/forms/press/mail_fill.asp ]

In comparison with the print version, the use of the electronic version will help Fortis to contribute to a better environment.

Fortis published its annual results for 2008 on 31 March 2009. The next results update is planned for 14 May 2009, instead of the previously communicated 15 May 2009.

Fortis holding (Fortis SA/NV and Fortis N.V.) consists of (1) Fortis Insurance Belgium (2) Fortis Insurance International, and (3) financial assets and liabilities of various financing vehicles. The international insurance activities (Fortis Insurance International) are located in the UK, France, Hong Kong, Luxembourg (Non-Life), Germany, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and in joint ventures in Luxembourg (Life), Portugal, China, Malaysia, India and Thailand.
