DIAGNOS: Local Model on Metanor Resources Barry Gold Project
BROSSARD, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 18, 2009) - DIAGNOS inc. ("DIAGNOS" or "the Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:ADK), a leader in the use of artificial intelligence and advanced knowledge extraction techniques, announced today that its CARDS (Computer Aided Resources Detection System) technology will be used for the creation of a local signature model targeting the auriferous potential of the Barry property and surrounding areas of Metanor Resources inc. ("Metanor") (TSX VENTURE:MTO). The service and the right to use the targets provided by CARDS are for a fee of $60,000.
The Barry gold deposit is located in the Urban-Barry greenstone belt approximately 65 km southeast of the Bachelor Lake mine. The Urban-Barry area is the site of renewed interest following the release of Noront Resources Ltd drilling results which intersected 800.1 to 1,792.9 g/t over 4.9 m (Noront's press release of December 1st, 2006) and 27.3 g/t over 14.4m (Noront's press release of June 8th, 2006). In September 2009, Metanor intersected a zone of 9.24 g/t over 33 m, including 13.38 g/t over 22.5 m (Metanor's press release of September 23rd, 2009). Previous drilling by Metanor also confirmed the potential of the deformation corridor on the Barry property.
Based on results obtained from a regional model generated in 2006 covering the majority of the Abitibi region, DIAGNOS identified the above mentioned zones within the Urban-Barry area. Additional mineralized zones were identified for their gold and base metal potential and await field exploration.
