UHAS commits to advancing role of sports in public health and national dev't

The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has pledged to enhance the role of sports in promoting public health and national development, as stated during the launch of the UHAS Sports Directorate. The event, which took place at the university's main campus in Ho, was attended by various dignitaries including the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, and the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa. The Vice-Chancellor of UHAS, Professor Lydia Aziato, emphasized the university's commitment to using sports as a tool for health promotion and national development, highlighting the establishment of the Sports Directorate as a key step in this direction. The launch also featured the unveiling of the UHAS Sports logo and the announcement of upcoming sports events and initiatives aimed at engaging the university community and the broader public.
