Dr. Edmund Pezalla Named President of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Society
HARTFORD, Conn.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Aetna (NYSE:[ AET ]) announced today that the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Society (PTS) recently selected Edmund Pezalla, M.D., MPH to serve as its president in 2009. Pezalla, who is national medical director and chief clinical officer for Aetna Pharmacy Management, has served for two years on the Board of Trustees for PTS, most recently as secretary in 2008.
"I am honored to serve as president of an organization dedicated to assisting health care professionals in delivering the highest quality pharmaceutical services," said Pezalla whose term will begin on January 1, 2009.
