Stated Shoham, "Yesterday we received the order for the testing of the IDenta-Alert Explosive Detectors by the US Department of Defense (DoD):
"The order is for 120 units of each of the five different kind of explosive detectors:
"TNT/PETN/RDX/NITRATE, AMMONIUM NITRATE, UREA NITRATE, TATP AND CHLORATE.
"A total of 600 units will be tested.
"As we have already released in previous PRs (July 08, 2009 and July 20, 2009), IDenta has been chosen as one of five finalists out of an initial field of 25 companies, in a Comparative Test and Evaluation of Colorimetric or Explosive Detection Equipment (EDE) requiring visual interpretation by the operator, conducted by the DoD.
"The DoD plans to analyze 120x5 (total 600) samples with the IDenta-Alert kits during the laboratory and field tests over a five-month period.
"The field test also will include a training session to the personnel on the operation and maintenance of the IDenta-Alert kits, to be conducted by the IDenta's chief scientist, Mr. Baruch Glattstein.
"The comparative test and evaluation reports from all five companies will be available to all US Government personnel and military to utilize when making a decision to purchase a system. Not all five companies are necessarily presenting field test detectors, but some other products related to explosives.
"We fully expect our test kits to perform exceptionally well and that most or all of the agencies will decide to use Identa kits."
