LONDON--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Four Rivers BioEnergy Inc. (OTCBB:FRBE) & (OTCQB:FRBE)today issued a letter to shareholders from its Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Padgett, which is the first of a series of letters in which Mr. Padgett discusses each of the Companya™s four key themes underlying its game-changing waste-to-energy strategy.

"We are actively engaged on all fronts as we move towards completion of the first phase of the UK plant and commence production there has been significant activity around all of the four key themes in the last few weeks."

Highlights of the letter are included below and the letter in its entirety has been posted to the Companya™s web-site under the Corporate Presentations section ([ http://www.riv4ers.com ]).

The letter presents a superior market strategy in the Waste-to-Energy space as a result of thecombinationof four key elements:

  • Vertical Integration into the Feedstock Supply Chain
  • Expert Processing of Feedstock
  • Renewable Electricity Production
  • Diversity in Renewable Energy Streams

In his first letter Mr. Padgett focuses on aDiversity in Renewable Energy Streamsa™, explaining that:

aHaving diversity in renewable revenue streams is important, because it enables us to choose revenue streams based on macro-economic and political conditions in the renewable energy and fuels market at any point in time and to mix and balance them appropriately. It also allows us to maximize our total revenue by using all available resources to generate as much renewable power on one site as we are able.a

He goes on to explain that Vertaa™s UK plant is now well on its way to being able to produce renewable fuel and power from in three different forms: (i) renewable electricity, which it will produce at its UK Waste-to-Energy site, using its own know-how and processing plant to convert liquid waste biomass into a viable feedstock; and sell into the power grid via its on-site electricity sub-stations (ii) FAME 0 bio-fuel which it produces, using the same pre-processed feedstock, using its established biofuel processing plant which is located on its UK site; and (iii) renewable electricity generated from solar panels to be installed on its spare land at the UK site location, also to be sold straight into the power grid.

Mr. Padgetta™s letter refers to the very substantial progress being made on all fronts at the UK site:aWe are actively engaged on all fronts as we move towards completion of the first phase of the UK plant and commence production there has been significant activity around all of the four key themes in the last few weeks.a

In the revenue area he highlights the importance of againing planning consent to produce renewable electricity from liquid biomass for sale into the grid using our existing infrastructure and buildingsa and of the progress being made in the wake of that permission and he announces that a(we) been formally registered with OFGEM as a power generator, which enables us to take the final steps towards full accreditation of the site and its feedstocks for qualification under the ROC system.a He also reminds shareholders of the important off-take contract that the Company has with a major internal player for its FAME 0 and of the potential joint venture with Noble Solar Industries which Verta announced earlier this month.

Mr. Padgett concludes

aIn combination, these sources of revenue provide not only substantial potential flows of revenue for us, but they also create diversity, which is an excellent hedge against fluctuating commodity prices, which would otherwise not be possible. The strategy also provides us with operational and commercial flexibility to optimize earnings generation.a
