The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is currently investigating potential cases of bird flu in cats that consumed recalled raw milk from Raw Farm LLC, which was recalled due to possible contamination with H5N1 avian influenza. The investigation was prompted after the farm reported that some of their cats had died, and subsequent tests confirmed the presence of the virus in the milk. Although no human cases have been linked to this outbreak, the health department is taking precautionary measures, including advising the public to avoid consuming raw milk and to ensure that pets do not drink unpasteurized milk. The recall affects products distributed in several states, and the department is working to trace and notify consumers who might have purchased the affected products.
