CASTLE ROCK, CO--(Marketwire - September 3, 2009) - AspenBio Pharma, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ APPY ]), an emerging bio-science company dedicated to the development of novel diagnostics and drugs for humans and animals, has been invited to present at the Annual Baird Healthcare Conference at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City on Thursday, September 10, 2009.

AspenBio Pharma's management is scheduled to present at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time, with one-on-one meetings held throughout the day. Management will discuss the company's progress, including its recently filed Premarket Notification 510(k) with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") for AppyScore, the first blood-based test designed to rule out the diagnosis of human appendicitis.

Leading the presentation will be the company's executive chairman and CEO, Daryl Faulkner, who was previously president, CEO and board member of Digene Corp., a Nasdaq-traded company prior to its acquisition by Qiagen.
