Secure eHealth Health Information Exchange Integration Shown at HIMSS 2011 Interoperability Showcase as Part of GSI Health Technology Demonstration

FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Wound Management Technologies, Inc., (WNDM) announced today that Secure eHealth's secure messaging and data delivery solution, CifraHC will be included as part of GSI Health's demonstration of a system capable of securely transporting clinical documentation in a fully integrated, multiple partner solution during the 2011 HIMSS Interoperability Showcase February 21February 24 in Orlando, Florida.

Robert Tapales, Secure eHealth President explained, "Traditionally, in order for a provider to participate in a health information exchange it required that the provider have a compatible EHR (Electronic Health Record) system.  The GSI Health integrated solution which incorporates the CifraHC secure communications platform from Secure eHealth allows providers both with and without EHRs secure and efficient access to clinical data from within an HIE network."

The CifraHC, secure messaging and encrypted transport solution serves to securely store, notify and provide access to sensitive clinical data through its integration with GSI Health's HISP (Health Information Service Provider).

The process can be broken down into a few simple steps:

  1. A healthcare record is generated by essentially any system and is placed in the CifraHC Vault
  2. Intended recipients that are part of the HIE are notified using direct push notifications to smart devices, emails or SMS
  3. Users access the record from virtually anywhere through their secure CifraHC Viewer

The HIMSS conference is considered the largest gathering of healthcare IT in the nation. The conference regularly draws between 25,000 and 30,000 professionals from around the world interested in the latest industry advances.
