"These little changes accumulate over time," she says. "They might not seem significant in the moment, but they create a compounding effect that can lead to substantial improvements in your overall health."

No one is perfect, and setbacks are inevitable. A single unhealthy meal or a missed workout shouldn't derail your entire progress. The key is to adopt a mindset of self-compassion and view slip-ups as learning opportunities rather than failures. "Everyone makes mistakes," McFarland acknowledges. Don't let a single misstep turn into a complete abandonment of your goals."
