CINCINNATI--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--IntegraMed America, Inc. (NASDAQ: INMD), the nation's leading provider of specialty healthcare services in emerging, technology-focused segments, announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Vein Clinics of America (VCA), has opened its first office in Ohio, representing its 33rd location in the U.S. Located in Cincinnati at 8044 Montgomery Road, the new location offers the latest in vein disease diagnosis and treatment.

"I am excited to be a part of the VCA team and look forward to offering patients in the Cincinnati area the latest in minimally invasive techniques for diagnosing and treating their chronic vein problems. It is rewarding for both physicians and patients to see the results we are able to achieve helping to alleviate the discomfort and pain brought on by this progressive condition," stated Kevin McChord, M.D., practicing physician at VCA's Cincinnati office.

Vein disease is a potentially serious medical condition, which if ignored, may result in symptoms such as pain, fatigue, itching, burning and swelling. Patients may also experience throbbing and restlessness, feeling the need to constantly keep their legs moving. Left untreated by a medical professional, vein disease often worsens becoming a major health concern.

VCA has more than 25 years of experience in the vein care field, specializing in all aspects of vein disease, including varicose veins, spider veins and leg ulcers. Offering a comprehensive, non-surgical treatment approach, the average patient requires sclerotherapy injection treatment in conjunction with Endovenous Laser Treatment (ELT) to treat the smaller veins. VCA's use of sclerotherapy in combination with ELT allows physicians to treat the smallest spider veins to the largest varicose veins, including leg ulcers. All procedures are performed in the VCA office with no surgery or post hospitalization required.

Ted King, M.D., national medical director of VCA, commented, "We very much look forward to serving the greater Cincinnati community. Dr. McChord is a highly accomplished physician supported by an exceptional clinical and administrative team dedicated to the treatment of chronic venous disorders. We are confident patients in the Cincinnati area will welcome both his experience and unparalleled professionalism."
