Johnson Health Tech Trading recalled about 3,844,200 units of its BowFlex Adjustable Dumbbells that were sold across the US by retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Costco and DICK's Sporting Goods.

Approximately 2.5 million Bowflex SelectTech 1090 dumbbells and 1.3 million Bowflex SelectTech 552 dumbbells have been recalled due to a potential injury hazard caused by the weight selection adjustment mechanism failing, which can cause the weights to separate during use. The recall, announced by Nautilus, Inc., affects products sold in the U.S. and Canada from September 2012 to November 2022. Consumers are advised to stop using the dumbbells immediately and contact Nautilus for a free repair kit. There have been 41 reports of the weights separating, resulting in 14 injuries, including one concussion and one broken toe.
