AlumiFuel Power, Inc. Receives First Purchase Order for Its Commercialized AlumiFuel Cartridges

CENTENNIAL, Colo.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Early production stage hydrogen generation company AlumiFuel Power, Inc. (aAPIa), the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based wholly owned operating subsidiary of AlumiFuel Power Corporation (OTCBB: AFPW), (the aCompanya), announced today that it has received the first Purchase Order for AlumiFuel cartridges for its Portable Balloon Inflation System (PBIS)-1000 portable hydrogen generator. The Purchase Order was received from Kaymont Consolidated Industries, Inc. of Long Island, New York a" the worlda™s largest distributor of weather balloons and APIa™s partner for lift-gas applications a" on behalf of an unspecified military customer.

The cartridges will be used to fuel the three PBIS-1000 units that were delivered to the customer in April (see API news release of April 6, 2010). The PBIS-1000 uses two 32 oz. cartridges to generate 1,000 liters of hydrogen in 20 minutes to launch a 5-foot weather balloon. This initial order of 240 cartridges will be used by the customer for training purposes, prior to anticipated operational deployment of the generators. The customer is expected to place additional Purchase Orders for PBIS-1000 generators in the Second Quarter of 2010, and for a continuing supply of the cartridges.

The cartridges are being manufactured to APIa™s specifications by ActionPak, Inc. of Bristol, Pennsylvania, APIa™s packaging partner (see API news release of February 19, 2010); they will be delivered to the customer using packaging and labeling specifically developed for APIa™s cartridges according to Department of Transportation specifications (see API news release of March 24, 2010). Members of APIa™s technical team will travel to the customera™s location to assist in launching the training program.
