Synovis Life Technologies Names Jodi Brendel Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing for Surgical Group

(Nasdaq: SYNO), a leading biomaterial and surgical products company, has named Jodi Brendel to the position of vice president of global sales and marketing for its Surgical group, unifying the activities of sales and marketing domestically and internationally. Brendel succeeds Patrick Horan in leading the domestic sales team and also assumes responsibility for marketing and international sales which formerly reported to the COO level.

Brendel brings more than 20 years of sales and management experience to Synovis. Prior to joining Synovis, Brendel spent seven years at Medtronic in various sales leadership positions. Most recently, she was vice president on the healthcare systems team on special assignment to the CEO and Executive Committee. Prior to that she served as vice president of sales and marketing for Medtronic of Canada, where she had P&L responsibility for the Canadian Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management business. Prior to Medtronic, Brendel held sales and management positions with ACMI Corporation, Medical Care America, Caremark and Pfizer, Inc. Brendel received a bachelora™s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin a" Madison.
