Car 'fit for a king' auctioned after barn find

An identical model was believed to have been delivered to King George VI, auctioneers say.

A 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V, once owned by Elvis Presley, was auctioned off for $250,000 after being discovered in a barn in Kingsport, Tennessee. The car, which had been sitting idle for over 30 years, was in remarkably good condition despite its long period of disuse. Elvis had customized the vehicle with a unique blue and white paint job and a luxurious interior, reflecting his personal style. The auction attracted significant attention from collectors and fans alike, drawn by the car's connection to the legendary musician. The sale was handled by GWS Auctions, and the proceeds are expected to benefit a local charity.
