NEW YORK, May 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Grandparents.com, Inc. (OTCBB: GPCM), the Ultimate Resource for Grandparents™, announced today that, in connection with the expected re-launch of its website, [ Grandparents.com ] will also be launching a social media App targeted at America's 70 million grandparents. Grandparents.com has entered into development agreements with two, New York technology firms: Ashe Avenue, a website development company, and theConspiracy, an App development firm. The newly designed Grandparents.com website and new App will focus on the active lifestyles of today's grandparents. The App will first be developed for the iPhone ® and iPad ®, and will be integrated into the website at a later date. The re-launch of the Grandparents.com website and release of the App is expected on [ Grandparents Day ], September 9, 2012. The Company has no plans to take the website or App to international markets at this time.
The PhotoVideogram™ App will include photo sharing features similar to Facebook ® and Instagram ®, as well as video sharing and interactive user communications. Users will be able to upload photos and videos and invite friends and family to share, with the ability to Comment or Like. The website and the App will also feature a novel social enhancement initiative created by Grandparents.com -- "Grand Inspirations ™," where users will be able to view videos of celebrities recalling inspirations from their grandparents. Users will be able to provide their own inspirations to family members and the public. The feature will also allow users to post and share their photos and videos.
