Tenet Names Tim Adams Senior Vice President of Operations for the Central States Region

DALLAS--([ ])--Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: THC) today announced that Tim Adams has been named senior vice president of operations for the companyas Central States region. Adams, 44, will oversee all strategic, operational and clinical activities for the regionas 14 acute care hospitals, one specialty facility and related health care services.

Adams served for five years as division vice president for Community Health Systemas 18 Texas hospitals, where he led his team to strong improvements in quality, growth and financial performance. Adams has also served as division president of Iasis Healthcare Corporationas Florida hospitals. Most recently, Adams served as chief executive officer of Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Cedar Park, Texas, a hospital within his division, and led a turnaround in the hospitalas operations, achieving a significant increase in admissions and EBITDA. Adams has previously held several executive positions at hospitals around the country, including chief executive officer and chief operating officer. Earlier in his career, Adams provided consulting services for Coopers and Lybrand, IMPACT Associates and Centex Casemix Management.

Adams is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the board of directors for the Texas Hospital Association. He has a bacheloras degree in business administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a masteras degree in business administration from The University of Texas at El Paso.
