WINNIPEG, Aug. 3 /CNW/ - IMRIS Inc. (TSX: IM) ("IMRIS" or the "Company") today announced the appointment of Amy Boyle to the position of Executive Vice President Marketing and Mark Reade to the position of Executive Vice President Customer Solutions.

Amy Boyle, Executive Vice President Marketing. Leading IMRIS's global marketing initiatives, Ms. Boyle is responsible for all upstream and downstream marketing initiatives, product management, sales support programs and emerging market development. She has 17 years of senior sales and marketing experience with Medtronic and for the past 5 years, has held senior positions with St. Jude Medical where she was most recently Vice President Corporate Brand and Marketing. Ms. Boyle holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Queen's University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Mark Reade, Executive Vice President Customer Solutions. Mr. Reade assumes global responsibility for customer support and services, customer engineering and program management. He joins IMRIS with more than 20 years experience in the medical device industry including management positions at Baxter Corporation and was most recently a Vice President at Medtronic's Neuromodulation division. Mr. Reade is a graduate of McGill University in Commerce and Economics with an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
