HSS makes $25,000 buyout offer to most of its employees

Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City has offered a voluntary buyout package to most of its employees, excluding physicians, nurses, and certain other staff, as part of a cost-cutting measure. The buyout includes a lump sum payment of $25,000, one week of pay for each year of service, and health insurance for six months. This initiative comes in response to financial pressures from rising costs and the need to adapt to changes in healthcare delivery, aiming to avoid layoffs and reduce operational expenses. Employees have until the end of the month to decide whether to accept the offer.
