"The OnePlus Watch 3 did not receive official certification from the U.S. FDA on its ECS capabilities, the ECG Analyzer feature on the OnePlus Watch 3 will not be available to users in the United States or Canada," a statement from the manufacturer explained to Android Authority.

The OnePlus Watch 3, available in the US, lacks several key health and fitness features that are present in versions sold in other markets. Notably, the US version does not include SpO2 monitoring for blood oxygen levels, stress tracking, or the ability to import VO2 Max data from Strava. These omissions are due to regulatory restrictions in the US, which require medical device certification for such features. This has led to dissatisfaction among US customers who feel they are missing out on vital functionalities that enhance the smartwatch's health monitoring capabilities. Despite these limitations, the OnePlus Watch 3 still offers a robust set of features including heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and basic fitness tracking, but it falls short compared to its international counterparts.
