  • EAU CLAIRE (WKBT) -- Another new hospital is planned for the Chippewa Valley.

Clearsky Health has announced plans to build a new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, with construction set to begin in spring 2024 and completion expected by early 2025. The facility, which will be located near the intersection of Craig Road and U.S. Highway 53, aims to provide specialized care for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions. The hospital will feature private patient rooms, a therapy gym with advanced rehabilitation technologies, an activities of daily living suite, a dining room, and a dayroom, all designed to support patient recovery and rehabilitation. This development is expected to create around 120 new jobs in the area, including positions for physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff.
