The pope slept peacefully, got up and had breakfast after diagnosis of pneumonia, Vatican says

Pope Francis slept well, got out of bed and ate breakfast Wednesday, the Vatican said, after tests confirmed the 88-year-old pontiff had developed pneumonia in both lungs in a further complication that raised concerns about his ability to fight off the infection.
Pope Francis, who was diagnosed with lung inflammation and had experienced breathing difficulties, has shown signs of recovery. According to the Vatican, after receiving treatment with intravenous antibiotics, the Pope slept peacefully, woke up, and had breakfast. This update was provided by Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni, who also mentioned that the pontiff's condition was improving, although he had to cancel his planned engagements due to his health. The Pope, at 87 years old, has faced several health issues in the past, including previous hospitalizations for bronchitis and surgery for a hernia.
