More than 2,600 workers will be laid off.
Crozer Health, a healthcare system in Pennsylvania, is set to close three of its outpatient facilities in Delaware County by the end of March 2024 due to financial difficulties. The facilities affected are the Springfield Hospital, the Media Medical Plaza, and the Brinton Lake Medical Plaza. This decision comes after Prospect Medical Holdings, the owner of Crozer Health, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2023. The closure will impact patient care, with Crozer Health working to transition services to other locations to minimize disruption. Employees at the closing facilities will be offered positions at other Crozer Health locations where possible.
