  • Mosaic Spa, the owners of the Shrewsbury Club on Sundorne Road in Shrewsbury, has submitted an outline planning application to build a new 146-bedroom hotel on the site.

The Shropshire Star reports that a health and fitness club in Shrewsbury has submitted plans to build a 146-bedroom hotel on its site. The proposed hotel, part of a £15 million investment, aims to enhance the facilities at the club, which already includes a gym, swimming pool, and spa. The development is expected to create around 50 new jobs and boost local tourism. The plans include modern amenities like a restaurant, bar, and conference facilities, with the design focusing on sustainability and integration with the existing landscape. The application is currently under review by Shropshire Council, with public consultations planned to gather community feedback.
