Over 20,000 runners participated in the 7th edition of Manipal Marathon 2025 organized by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), one of the largest student-led marathons in India. The resounding success of the 7th edition of the Manipal Marathon reiterated the MAHE's commitment to health,

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) hosted the 7th edition of the Manipal Marathon on December 17, 2023, in Manipal, Karnataka, with the theme "Run for a Cause." This event not only promoted fitness but also emphasized inclusion and innovation. It featured various race categories including a 42.2 km full marathon, a 21.1 km half marathon, a 10 km run, a 5 km run, and a 1.6 km run for inclusivity, allowing participants of all abilities to join. The marathon saw participation from over 10,000 runners, including international athletes, and was flagged off by notable figures like Dr. H.S. Ballal, Pro Chancellor of MAHE. The event also highlighted environmental consciousness by promoting a plastic-free environment and included cultural performances, health check-up camps, and a special focus on inclusivity with categories for differently-abled participants.
