Research from the University of Tsukuba, published in the journal Frontiers in Psychology, has shown that combining mindfulness with step tracking significantly enhances motivation to exercise. The study involved 63 participants who were divided into three groups: one using step tracking, another practicing mindfulness, and a third using both methods. The group utilizing both mindfulness and step tracking reported higher levels of exercise motivation and self-efficacy compared to the other groups. This suggests that integrating mindfulness with physical activity tracking could be an effective strategy to promote regular exercise and improve overall health.
