The company announced that the ECG app is now available in the EU and Australia. As you might expect, the ECG app lets you record your heart rhythm to check for signs of atrial fibrillation, which can lead to health complications in later life. You can view the results immediately or in the Garmin Connect Smartphone app.

Garmin has introduced a significant software update for its smartwatches in the EU and Australia, enabling ECG (electrocardiogram) functionality. This update allows users of compatible Garmin watches, such as the Venu 2 Plus, to take an ECG to check for signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib), a common heart rhythm disorder.
