A study published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology highlights that combining regular exercise with healthy eating habits offers the best protection against cardiovascular diseases. The research, which analyzed data from over 116,000 participants across 21 countries, found that individuals who adhered to both a healthy diet and regular physical activity had a significantly lower risk of cardiovascular events compared to those who only followed one of these behaviors. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating both lifestyle factors for optimal heart health, suggesting that while each behavior independently contributes to reducing cardiovascular risk, their combined effect is substantially more protective.
