A recent study published in the journal *Circulation* has found that just one additional hour of moderate to vigorous physical activity per week can significantly reduce the risk of developing atrial fibrillation (AFib), a common heart condition. The research, which analyzed data from over 15,000 participants in the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) study, showed that individuals who increased their exercise levels by even a small amount had a 14% lower risk of AFib compared to those who did not change their activity levels. This protective effect was observed even among those who were previously sedentary, highlighting the potential benefits of incorporating more physical activity into daily life to prevent heart-related issues.
