A recent study published in the journal *Frontiers in Aging* suggests that regular strength training can make individuals biologically younger. Researchers found that participants who engaged in strength training for at least three sessions per week over a period of 12 years had a biological age approximately 8 years younger than those who did not engage in such activities. The study utilized epigenetic clocks to measure biological age, which looks at changes in DNA methylation patterns to estimate aging at a cellular level. This research underscores the potential anti-aging benefits of strength training, highlighting its importance not just for physical strength but also for longevity and healthspan.
