Lucknow doctors remove woman's 15-cm rare giant gallbladder

In Lucknow, a 45-year-old woman underwent a successful surgical procedure to remove an unusually large gallbladder measuring 15 cm, which was filled with stones. The patient, who had been experiencing severe abdominal pain for several months, was initially misdiagnosed with a liver cyst. However, upon further examination at a private hospital, doctors discovered the true nature of her condition. The surgery was performed by Dr. Gaurav Kumar Mishra and his team, who noted that such a large gallbladder is rare, with only a few cases reported globally. The operation not only alleviated the patient's pain but also highlighted the importance of accurate diagnostic imaging in treating complex medical conditions.
