Arts Huntsville, in partnership with the City of Huntsville Parks & Recreation Department, has announced an opportunity for local artists to contribute to a new public art installation at the upcoming Hays Farm Park.

Arts Huntsville is currently inviting artists to submit proposals for a new public art project at the John Hunt Park Fitness Court. This initiative, supported by a $10,000 grant from the National Fitness Campaign, aims to integrate art with fitness, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the fitness area while promoting physical activity. The project seeks to create an engaging environment that not only serves functional fitness purposes but also acts as a cultural and visual landmark. Submissions are open to artists from Huntsville and the surrounding areas, with the deadline for proposals set for May 15, 2024. The selected artwork will be installed in the fall of 2024, contributing to the community's health and cultural vibrancy.
